Building Hope, One Child at a Time

IMSI Colombia

Dear Friends and Partners,

This month, we are honored to highlight the life-changing work of three dedicated men who are transforming the lives of children across Colombia. Each of them has a unique calling, but all are driven by the same passion: to reach vulnerable youth and offer them a future filled with hope, education, and purpose.

Spotlight #1: Arnulfo Cuero – Founder of Pancubien

In the heart of one of Colombia’s most challenging communities, Arnulfo Cuero leads Pancubien, a foundation committed to rescuing children from the grip of drugs, gangs, and life on the streets. Through mentorship, practical support, and a safe environment, Pancubien gives these young lives a second chance. Last month, Arnulfo reached a major milestone—raising $50,000 to expand its current facility! While this is a tremendous achievement, the need continues to grow. Pancubien urgently needs a larger space to reach even more children in crisis. Please join us in praying for the next phase of this vital project and consider how you might partner with Arnulfo’s mission.

Spotlight #2: Lorenzo Gonzalez – Superintendent, The Lighthouse Academy in Bogotá

In Bogotá, Lorenzo Gonzalez oversees a, “The Lighthouse Academy”, a private school academy that serves over 200 students, many from impoverished backgrounds. The school not only offers a quality education but also acts as a refuge and support system for students facing difficult home lives. Lorenzo and his team have a vision to expand the school’s capacity and resources, ensuring that no child is turned away due to space or financial limitations. Your continued support helps keep this vision alive and growing.

Spotlight #3: Javier Marín – Director of Liceo Betel

Also located in the greater Bogotá area is the Liceo Betel Academy, a Private School Academy, directed by Javier Marín. With a strong emphasis on academic excellence and spiritual development, the school is a beacon of hope for children from underserved communities. Just like Lorenzo’s school, Liceo Betel is in need of funding for classroom space, school materials, and student support. Javier remains committed to raising up the next generation with integrity and opportunity, and your contributions have made a substantial difference.

How You Can Help

These three ministries—Pancubien, Lorenzo’s school, and Liceo Betel—are each part of a greater movement to restore broken lives and raise up future leaders in Colombia. Whether through prayer, financial gifts, or simply spreading the word, you play a crucial role in what God is doing through IMSI Colombia. If you would like to contribute or learn more, please reach out to us through our website.

With gratitude,

The IMSI Colombia Team
