Our Trip to Colombia: Liceo Betel
This month, we traveled to Colombia to re-connect with our partners on the ground and get a first-hand look at the work being done at Liceo Betel. We spent several days meeting with staff, touring classrooms, and hearing first-hand accounts of the impact being made through the school.
From the moment we arrived, we sensed the heart and passion burning in Liceo Betel. Teachers welcomed us warmly and students greeted us with big smiles. There was an atmosphere of joy, commitment, and dedication.
Liceo Betel is more than just a school — it is a beacon of academic excellence and spiritual growth. Serving children from underprivileged communities, it provides a safe and nurturing environment where young people are taught not only academics, but also values and life lessons that foster integrity, opportunity, and hope for the future.

In every classroom, we witnessed the fruit of years of devotion and sacrifice. It was clear that these dedicated teachers are equipping the next generation with the necessary tools for success, and the students are eager to learn and grow. Yet, as inspiring as this was, it was also evident that the need remains great.
As the school continues to grow, so do its challenges. To serve students more effectively, Liceo Betel is seeking support in several key areas:
Additional classrooms to provide space for every child to learn.
Educational materials and student care resources to enrich daily life and learning experiences.
Land for expansion, which will allow the school to accommodate more students and develop new programs to meet the increasing demand.
Our vision is clear: to raise up a generation of leaders who will bring a fundamental and impactful change for the good to their communities and nation. But for this vision to be fully realized, we need partners to come alongside Liceo Betel.
We returned home deeply moved—not only by what they witnessed but also by the resilience, faith, and commitment of the staff and families who make Liceo Betel what it is. We believe this school has the potential to transform lives for generations to come.
