Great Progress in Romania
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We’re thrilled to share the latest update from our station in Romania! Thanks to your generous support, the project continues to move forward in meaningful ways. Every step brings us closer to creating a space that will serve the community for years to come.
Recent Milestones Achieved:
The team has made tremendous headway on the interior work. They have completed the tile work throughout the building. This included installing all the in-floor heating pipes, covering them with sand and a thin layer of concrete, and finishing with beautiful tile on top. The showers have been built directly into the flooring for a clean, functional design, and the bathroom walls are now fully tiled as well.
Dan, a local Romanian and owner of the campground property, also made excellent improvements to the exterior and infrastructure:
• He ran a drainage pipe along the north side and filled in the ravine there.
• He installed a freshwater pipe from the nearby creek up to the building—so we’ll have a reliable backup water source for showers and other needs during drier summer months.
What’s Next:
We already have the septic tank ready—just need to dig the hole and install it.
Upcoming tasks include painting the interior walls, installing the plumbing in the bathrooms, and digging the well for our primary water supply. We’re also preparing for the final exterior stucco finish—we’ve ordered the materials needed for the finish coat.
Materials Ready to Go:
We’re grateful to report that we recently received a complete set of high-quality bathroom fixtures, including shower faucets, toilets, sinks with cabinets, and mirrors. While on site, we also picked up all the necessary lights, switches, and breakers. Everything is now staged and ready for installation as the project advances.
We’re truly thankful for your continued faithful partnership in this work. Every gift, every prayer, and every word of encouragement is helping build far more than just walls. It’s building a lasting home for ministry in Romania. We’re excited to see what God will continue to do through this project in the months ahead!
With gratitude,
The IMSI Team
